We collect personal information from you, including information about your:

• financial and personal situation (for financial scholarship applications).

 

Information Use
We collect your personal information to:

• Provide regular newsletters

• Send payment reminders

• Receive, assess, and communicate the outcomes for applications for financial scholarship support.

 

If you choose not to provide contact information, we cannot provide payment
reminders, process or respond to your billing, payment or purchase activities or
provide regular newsletters.
 

If you choose not to provide financial or relevant personal information in a financial
scholarship application, we cannot process, assess or respond to your application.
 

We only allow:

• specified administrative volunteers to access contact information for the purposes of newsletter distribution. (Lawrence Tunis)

• our Wisdom of Meditation teacher-directors, Malcolm (Mayank) Reid and Rebecca (Shikhaa) Williams to access financial and personal information for the purposes of a financial scholarship application.

 

No information is shared with any other internal or external parties.

Security and Storage
We keep your information safe by using password protected cloud storage with
access only available to the Wisdom of Meditation teacher-directors.

We keep your information for as long as necessary for its purpose, at which point we
securely erase it from our storage. For example:

• contact information for as long as we distribute newsletters or other communications or if you request us to remove it from our system

• financial scholarship applications and relevant documents for as long as needed for consideration, review and audit purposes.

 

Your Rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you,
and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy
