About Shikhaa

Shikhaa is a guiding light to all who wish for freedom from the mind’s limited view. For thirty-five years, Shikhaa lived in India, with an enlightened sage and immersed in a yogic lifestyle of meditation and Satang (Self knowledge).

Having deeply studied the teachings from the Vedic tradition of non-dualism (Advaita Vedanta) Shikhaa is a modern spiritual teacher who shares this ancient knowledge in a relevant and accessible format. She offers a rare clarity and authenticity in her guidance on the path of meditation.

With decades of experience leading students beyond the surface layers of the mind, Shikhaa’s approach to meditation is not centered on controlling thoughts, but on a subtle understanding of how the outward-bound mind, constantly engaged with objects and experiences, can gently return to its source. This source is not something to be acquired or created; it is the ever-present Self — whole, unchanging, and inherently free.

In the environment of satsang, Shikhaa creates a space for inner enquiry. She eloquently articulates the nature of the human condition: how suffering arises through identification with the transient — body, mind, emotions, and experiences. With equal depth, she illuminates the nature of the true Self: unborn, undying, beyond all change, and free from limitation. Her words act as a mirror for the listener to reflect on their own direct experience, not to add more concepts, but to see through them.

Integral to her satsangs is the practice of silent meditation — not as a technique, but as the inner recognition of our true Self. In this silence, many experience a profound shift from intellectual understanding to the subtle, intuitive recognition of their own boundless nature.

Meditation, in this light, is not a goal-oriented practice but  an ever-deepening return to what already is. It is a revelation of the Real — a state of Being that is untouched by the changing and conflicting nature of thought, or the emotional uncertainty of the human experience. In this clear and silent space, the imagined separation between the personal self and the limitless Self dissolves. What remains is the simple, direct recognition of one’s true nature: whole, undivided, and ever-present.

Shikhaa is a living example of what she teaches. Join her to meditate and integrate healthy thinking in order to live a conscious and loving life.

“Meditation is natural and allows the revelation of your ever-free Self to be revealed and directly tune in to your inherent wisdom and joy.” —Shikhaa

Shikhaa – what can I say! Through your satsang, I have discovered that pause from where to speak from. It has been incredible. Thank you so much for the down to earth, practical way in which you guide us in meditation. It is amazing how you are there for everyone.
